The annually awarded Mercury Prize crosses all genres of music. Presented by Lauren Lavern and Nick Grimshaw, 4Creative wanted to promote the event using a promo with a striking visual identity matching the themes of the ceremony.

Kaleidoscopic TV promo for the annual music prize
The Mercury Prize, an annual award celebrating music across all genres, was promoted by 4Creative with a visually striking promo presented by Lauren Laverne and Nick Grimshaw.
To reflect the diversity of the nominated music, a kaleidoscopic design was developed as a visual metaphor. All album artwork was animated using a shared kinetic language, creating a cohesive and dynamic treatment. The project had a fast turnaround, completed in under three weeks.
The promo won a Promax Award for Channel 4 and inspired two more promos in the same style over the following years.
