Design and art direction for a British luxury shoe brand.

Approach

 

Bionda Castana is a British luxury women’s footwear brand founded in 2007. Stocked in Browns, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols and worn by Alexa Chung, Eva Mendes and Naomie Harris. Founders Natalia Barbieri and Jennifer Portman wanted to to develop a new visual identity that was in keeping with this audience.

Drawing inspiration from the footwear an elegant logo was developed. The letter ’N’ was used to playfully reference the shoes Bionda Castana design.

A campaign comprising of stills and a film was produced over two seasons. 

The visual identity was implemented across packaging, co-branding, online store and eventually a flagship store in London.
